The recorded Audio is not working as it should after i Exported

Sabina-Hermansson wrote on 1/31/2023, 6:38 AM

Hi! After the last song I made im getting this extremly annoying problem everytime I mix it down and export it. It has always worked smoothly with and without any singing recorded. But now it doesnt work anymore.

When im happy with the song, I export it to for example MP3, when I listen to it afterwards, the song tracks are totally "destroyed". You can hear it, but its a loud "lagging" noise through the whole song (only on the recorded voice track). Its like scratches, very very loud so you almost cant hear the singing. I switched the Hz, in both program and on the pc (sound settings). I tried diffrent export options (Mp3, Wma etc.), I switched headphones, I tried the mic in another computer. It was working until a few days ago and I am clueless. Can someone please help me?

@Sabina-Hermansson Try to reset the program settings under the File > Settings menu.

Does this happen with every project or is only one project affected?

Hi, sry I didnt find this post, first time I asked a question here. Thank you for your respond! I tried to reset the program, but its still the same problem :( It happens to every project with recorded audio. In Music Maker it sounds just fine, its only after the export... :(

Hi

. . . . In Music Maker it sounds just fine, its only after the export. . . .

Does the exported audio file sound fine when playing back on other devices eg mobile phone, MP3 player or on a different computer?

Which export preset did you use and did you change any of its settings ?

No, its just as bad on the phone or another pc. I just use the same as always, export MP3 file, "only between the marker" , no "Normalize" and 320kBit/s. I dont get it.... Since it sounds great in the Daw, and when im talking on discord and stuff, it cant be the mic either. And its the same mic that ive used before this problem started aswell :(

@Sabina-Hermansson

Hi

We need more information on your computer:

Which version of Music Maker are you using as found under Help, About?

Are you using an external audio device for playback? If so what make/model?

If not, what is the PC audio device make/model, was there a Windows update between working/not working and did it replace the audio drivers?

Is the mic mono or stereo?

If mono did you duplicate the left channel into the right and use the Pan control to position it on the sound stage?
