Stop auto scroll, let the cursor move but not the screen

Hi all

New to ACID. Looks promising.

I have an issue with auto scroll. When I want to amend an audio file perfectly for looping I need to see where I should end the clip. For this purpose I need to be zoomed in really close on to the audio file. But ACID Pro 10 keeps auto scrolling the screen, so I can keep focus on fixing the end of the audio file - The task is almost ... impossible.

How can I disable auto scroll ?

Or

What do you do when you need to finetune the end of an audio file for future looping (get in really close)?

Do you mean the loop region?

In the loop region or in general. I'd wish I'd be able to choose the cursor just follows what plays, while no movement on the main screen or loop region. Then you can see exactly where the audio file issue is (being close).

It's quite difficult to find the exact point where the loop should be, when the main screen follows the cursor. Remember you are quite zoomed in.

Hm, if I'm following you correctly, you'd go customize Keyboard:

Global->search: pause, you see Transport.Pause=Ctrl+F12

add: Ctrl+Space

go "C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\MAGIX\ACID Pro\10.0"

change the Ctrl+Space to Space in the file keyboard.ini

Back to ACID you'll see your play/pause is Space. From now on, if you strike space bar to play/stop, the cursor stops there where you just played and NOT back to its initial.

Thanks for the effort. It's worth a try.

when playing hit the left or right cursor key, this moves the edit mark slightly.. it will stop the timeline from scrolling once the playhead reaches the right of the screen. But yeah, you have to do that every time. It'd be nice if the Scroll Lock key worked, but it doesn't. :(

Out of interest, are you beatmapping a clip, or trying to get clips looping on the timeline?
