I've downloaded the 30 day trial of Video Pro X and love it, apart from a couple of things, one being the HUGE amount of time it takes to create proxies for 4K files. I could have completely edited my project in Premiere Pro in the time Video Pro X took to create the proxy files. The second problem, and the one that looks like it could be a showstopper for me, is that when I position my playhead on the timeline, then click the play button, the head playhead moves but despite the fact there is audio on the timeline it doesn't play any audio for about the first second of playback.
I'm trying to edit the file to remove the "uhm's", and in other software I can position the playhead, hit play, and it plays the audiowave immediately in front of the playhead on the timeline. Why can't Video X Pro do this? Is there a setting I need to change (I had a good look for one but couldn't find anything)?
I know I can use the scrub feature, but it doesn't seem to be that good and is a poor substitute for hitting play and hearing the audio right that's right in front of the playhead.
It's ruining for me what is otherwise a great video editor. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW - I'm using an i7 processor and have 16GB RAM
Thanks.
