sound and vision on RYVT is not captured

The RYVT Ver 2.0 software worked fine yesterday. There are two prblems today

1. the sound bar does not show sound as being received yet it 'flickers' when the VCR is started.

2. The video picture is repeated in the capture window yet when the 'end transfer' button is clicked all I get is 6 minutes of blank scree as being captured.

I'm using Windows Vista, Realtek sound card which works fine on other applications.

Running on a 2Gb Pc with 120 Gb free disc space

Updating the Graphics card software cleared the problem although I find that I need to start the program with the Usb dongle unplugged and only plug it in when the 'device not supported' nessage flags up. Otherwise it all works a treat.
