SF 17 stopped find third party plugins

Hi,

So last night Sound Forge 17 has stopped seeing my izotope plugins.

I've uninstalled both Products and reinstalled in hope to rectify what ever the issue is. Since then i have now wiped my HD and gone for a fresh install. I still have the same problem.

Izotope was there in the Plug ins tab, and now it won't show when selected.

When re-running vst plugin in search, it spots them when searching, but fails to show in the software.

any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi @beau-bowden, verify the iZ plug-ins folder is designated in the SF search folder: "Options> Preferences> VST Effects>" and select "Refresh".

Hi Rraud,

i have done this several times.

Sf sees them when scanning the folders after hitting refresh but they aren't in the fx plugins folder when selected.

i'm wondering if this is a convenient bug to enforce upgrading.

i'll just switch to wavelab if i can't figure this out. it was all working perfectly.

@beau-bowden Sound Forge can be completely reset to its default settings via the File menu. Maybe the plugin was blacklisted because of a crash or other error. I would guess that resetting will allow it to be added again.

Hi @beau-bowden, are you referring to the "Fx Plug-ins" folder (aka, Fx Favorites) or the "Plug-in Manager" in the 'View' menu? If the said plug-ins are present in the 'Plug-in Manager', they can be opened from there and/or re-added to the Fx Favorites.
