I just got Rescue Videotapes NEW from Amazon and when I input the serial number i get 'error code 24' 'this serial number has already been registered to another email.' This is strange considering it's supposedly a brand new product.

This seems to be happening a lot with discounted software on Amazon.
If you had this as a digital download you need to contact both Amazon who may block the seller from their site and the seller to rectify the situation who may have made a genuine mistake. Or not.
If it was a boxed product then it needs to be taken up with Amazon and the seller in case they sent out a returned product.
Either way, in these instances the problem must always be sorted by contacting the retailers of the item.

You cannot use the same ticket number as that given by @tdmc517 since that number is specific to him. You need to create your own ticket via this page.
