Sections which do not contain any image or movie material

This problem was experienced using Video Pro X.

I've created a project. I wanted the movie to be black for a short period, about 3 seconds, and then fade into the start of the first clip, but this appears to cause an error when exporting to a movie.

Because the FadeOverColor fade is not actually a movie or an image, a warning is displayed when attempting to export to a movie. The message indicates the number of areas detected, and the position of the longest range as 00:00:00:00

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem, and whether it should be raised as a software bug?

As far as I know from other sources, there is a useful feature that checks for unwanted empty gaps between the objects before exporting to a movie. This is not a bug.
Try a workaround by creating a black scene from a black frame which could be extended to any length and then apply the fadeover.
I hope this might solve the problem.
