Score tool bar - Can't get rid of it

Joachim-Vinson wrote on 12/17/2024, 4:42 PM

Hi! I hate to ask all these stupid questions but I only do if I think I have checked every single menu item. This time I was the idiot, not my car. I managed to switch on the tool bar to print sheet music. I don't know how I switched it on and have no idea to switch it off. Nothing works as it used to now in the editor window. I am sure that this is - once again - easy and I am just too stupid to find it :-)

@Joachim-Vinson That's odd. Does Music Maker even support scores? I thought that is only available in Samplitude.

Maybe it's a bug and you enabled the toolbar for a locked feature.

I would recommend you restart your computer. Select the Restart option and not the Shut down option. Usually this helps in case the MIDI Editor bugs out.

Hi! That would be something, involuntarily unlocking a hidden feature! Thanks, I'll see if I can get back to normal with restarting.

@Joachim-Vinson

Hi

Do you have some LABS VST's installed?

The toolbar you have highlighted looks like it is free floating and not part of Music Maker, in addition the Current track option top right would indicate that you have selected a LABS 64 bit VST and that toolbar may be the from the VST.

Yes, I do. I start the basic structure of all my music with Labs "Soft Piano" and then elaborate from there. Thanks for the hint, I'll see if I can do something with this information. I had noticed the floating of the tool bar too and didn't understand why.

I have searched for any way to shut it off in Labs but can't find anything there either. Below what I see when I open the settings of the score bar. It appears this is a Music Maker feature, at least the logo is in the upper left corner.

@Joachim-Vinson The toolbar looks like the Score toolbar in Samplitude. I don't think this is caused by another VST.

In case restarting didn't help, I suggest you reset the program layout back its standard layout via the main view menu.

Otherwise try resetting all program settings under the File > Settings menu.

Hi! Thank You! The full reset did the trick. Everything is back to normal now.
