Scanning into default directory/database

I had this working good yesterday, when I selected Scan from the menu the image saved to the correct directory/database/album. Now today I cannot get this to save correctly. It saves to the Picture database/album and when I move it over to a different directory I am promoted to optimize, when I leave the database and go back in the image is gone.

Where is this set up at? Like I said I was able to scan in over 500 pictures yesterday without any issues and label the images. Today not so good.

My database structure is like this,.

  • .Photos
    • .Album
    • .MyArchivePictures<-- should be default
    • .Pictures <-- images are going in here

Thanks

I was able to figure it out, on the SCAN meni I unselected autosave and then entered my correct path and then is started saving back to that directory. When the program is restarted the change is reverted back to the original MyPictures path as defined in your environment. After I reset it I just select the autosave/name box again.

Any way to lock this in so I don't have to reset every time the program is restarted?

Hi

. . . . Any way to lock this in so I don't have to reset every time the program is restarted? . . . .

AFAICS, after testing with my Epson and Samsung scanners, the Scan function is using the scanners TWAIN driver and it is there that the default save path must be set, once saved the image data is then added to the PhotoManager database.

There should be a separate TWAIN control panel for your scanners TWAIN driver where you can set the default path.
