Samplitude won't open MIDI files

Hello
I don't know what happens but it doesn't open Midi files. I select the Midi file that I want to import, I accept and nothing happens.

It happens 90% of the time. The remaining 10% shows a window where I can choose whether to import one track or multiple tracks, I choose multiple tracks and nothing happens either.

It happens with all the *.MID I've tried, not just the one in the example.
Sometimes the name of the midi file appears above in a tab and sometimes it doesn't. They are midi files that have worked in other DAW's

I would appreciate any ideas about it. Greetings.

@Barth_01 You either can drag and drop a MIDI file into a track of your project or you need to create an empty MIDI object and import the file via the MIDI editor.

Directly opening the MIDI file without a VIP project doesn't work.

Great SP, 👍 I opened first a VIP project, so I was able to import the MIDI, then I had to ungroup the tracks, because they were all hooked, and that's it. 😀Thank you!
