Samplitude music studio 2013- INDEPENDENCE LIBRARY upload

yazzypops wrote on 1/16/2014, 10:56 AM

I seem to be having the same problem as this gentleman here in this conversation link:

http://www.magix.info/uk/how-to-use-the-12-gb-independence-content-library.knowledge.665304.html

It was to do with the Independence library content in my 2 disc 2013 edition of samplitude.
I have followed the advice that is provided in this link, and the discs worked whilst downloading, but I cannot find the sounds that I have uploaded onto my computer. I  then looked at a previous comment to upload the independence library audio through VST plugins and the effects panel, but this has not worked and have tried adding them manually, but this still hasnt worked.
Hope someone can answer my querie soon.
Cheers

Hi,

See my first answer in the following post:

http://www.magix.info/us/problems-with-samplitude-offer....knowledge.1023954.html

Also, here is the reply that I received from Magix:

"It should be installed in the midi out put section on a channel. It will not be in the audio plugins section. So if you go to midi out in the program and select a new instrument this should be an option."

Good luck,

Hi,

Thanks for your comment it's muchly appreciated. From your previous answer I got up to independence 'preferences' but no window popped up, but i've also found the midi output on each channel, so I can live with that. If I keep having problems I will take off the software and put it back on again, as my computer security probably effected the software. Just one final question. The independence library, should you be able to access it as easily as the 'soundpool' effects in the tab, or are they just suppose to be midi effects that you can put on each channel after you've created your melody or chords etc etc.

Cheers

Hi,

No, you cannot access Independence through theSoundpool tab. Under the track editor at the left of the screen, open the midi part and select Out/VSTi. This will open the list of instruments. At almost the bottom of the list, there is a selection called "New instrument." This leads to another list and again at almost the bottom you will see "Independence." It is very difficult to find as the setup is not like Music Maker.

I have not used it yet. Time to read the manual.

Good luck,
