Sample CDs using Magix Music Maker 2004

Im still using Magix Music Maker 2004 for making most of my tracks.

The question I have is, the majority of my sample CDs, ie Loopmasters work fine in MM 2004 but others when I try to listen to them thru MM 2004 I just get a snipet of the sample and when I try to place the sample on the board, I either just get the snipet or just static.

Its not the sample CDs as the sample plays fine in Windows Media Player or in Abelton.

Any ideas what the problem is there?

My system runs on Vista.

Hi,

What format are these sample discs in? Are they just regular audio CDs or are they in a particular file format? Might just be some compatibility problem. However, you're also running Music Maker 2004 on Windows Vista, which definitely doesn't sound like a good idea. :-) I can see some problems emerging from that, too. Maybe you can try the trial version of the current Music Maker.
