I am interested in the product Rescue Your Video tapes but I'm not sure if it covers my tapes. I see that it covers various VHS tapes but I cannot see from the website if it includes VHS-C tapes.
Does anyone know if it also includes VHS-C tapes?

The type of tape is irrelevant to using the program to digitise the video.
It is the playback device you use that is important - it must have analog composite video out and sound. If yu have the adapter you can use a normal VHS recorder or the camera itself.

My tapes are 25 years old but clean - no mould. I no longer have the camera or a VHS recorder.
Do you mean that I need a VHS recorder to do the conversion? Who sells these nowadays? I thought they are obsolete.

You need either:
- a camera which takes the VHS-C tape or
- a VHS video recorder and a VHS-C to VHS adapter
to be able to play the tapes and capture the video/sound using a USB video converter such as the one supplied with RYVT.

They are but there are plenty around and still in use - try looking in a used equipment (second hand) store/shop.
