Normally video and audio are locked together. Mark them by clicking with the mouse in the track, they both get coloured, and then click the Ungroup symbol, you'll find it over the Timeline. Or use a shortcut; Ctrl+M. Now you can delete or move the video an audio separately.

Thanks for the "remove video" answer, but sometimes just a little sound makes a documentary more interesting. You can right click, find Volume, and turn it almost all the way down. That way some ambiant sound stays, to make the movie a little more authentic.

The way I've done it is this:

Go into Storyboard view
Left click the volume button on the top (in the middle) of the clip 
Check the "Off" box on the bottom left

You will have to do it for each clip if it's not a continuous scene.  I haven't found a way to delete or mute it all at once.  Hope this helps!!
