Hi

Without more information about your computing we can only guess - however here is my 'guess':-

Your Windows is version 8 or 8.1 - if so then Photostory on CD&DVD 7 is not compatible with this version of Windows - it was released in the days of Windows XP/2000 and is too old to run correctly on the latest version of Windows - you may get it to run however the probability is high that the DVD drive will not be recognised and some functions may not work.

IMHO it is time for an upgrade to the latest version.

Hi

Thanks for your PM, however it is better to reply to the question you asked then other members can see the topic in its entirety.

From your PM the software was running on Windows 7 on your old computer and your new computer is also running Windows 7.

The obvious question is are you entering the serial number correctly? The serial number usually starts P2-  and has 6 blocks of 5 numbers seperated by hyphens (-) and IIRC you must include the P2-.

Also check online that you have the correct serial number - go to the Magix.com website, click My Account - top right of homepage - and login with your email address and password.  Select My Products from the left menu - this will take you to a list of your registered software and serial numbers.

Assuming you have the correct serial number and are typing the serial number in correctly, do you have a different Antivirus program on the new computer?
