Region or formatting trouble "out of region error"

Hello,

I am working with Movie Edit Pro 11 and I am from USA.

I made a short test movie.  It looked and sounded great on the computer.  So I burned onto a DVD.   Then I put it in my DVD player and it would not play.  I get an "out of region error".

I would like to burn it into region free (0) and have it formatted into NTSC to play in DVD players here in the States.

Can someone please help me set it up.

Thanks in advance.

To check and make sure that you are burning in NTSC - in the burn disc dialog, click "Encoder settings" - "Advanced". Under the "Video format" tab, under "Video format", make sure NTSC is selected. If not, change it, then, when you burn your project again, make sure to "Re-encode all" to re-encode the project into NTSC. If you burn further copies after this initial re-encoding, you can choose "Maintain all" to save time, skip encoding and just burn the DVD.
Movie Edit Pro burns region free DVDs by default; some DVD players are actually unable to play region free discs (to "fight piracy").
