recording speed on burning dvd

Recording TV to a DVD recorder, one can selct a choice of 1 hr (HQ), 2 hrs (SP), 4 hrs (EP) or 8 hrs (SLP). What are the equivalent settings required to give the same on burning a DVD with MEP 14? I assume it is related to the encoder bit-rate setting?
