Recording jumps back and forth.

I recorded 5 different VHS to my laptop. They all work fine watched directly on my tv screen. But when I record them to my laptop the pictures jumps constantly back and forth. You see it already in the little window in the software. I tried high and low record quality. Its all the same. I use the Magix usb/scart adaptor v.7 With the latest driver for windows 10. Laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad i5, 8GB Ram.

What can I do to get a smooth recording???

Hi

What is the full specification of the Lenovo laptop include the full name of the processor and all graphics chips/cards installed.

Do you game on the laptop?

If the laptop has an Intel processor and a Nvidia graphics card installed have you put the graphics into Hybrid mode?

. . . . But when I record them to my laptop the pictures jumps constantly back and forth . . .

Do you mean the recording jerks ie pauses then catches up?

. . . Magix usb/scart adaptor v.7  . . .

Do you mean a Magix USB video converter? If so what colour and markings does it have on it?
