You have posted two screenshots (thank you for them, by the way!) but they seem to be suggesting two different problems?
One suggests there is a problem updating Movie Edit Pro Premium, which is now a "discontinued" program, it has been Magix Movie Studio for some years! So, can you confirm exactly which build of MMS/MEP you are currently running? (I accept it is entirely possible the error message script has not been updated to reflect the program name change!) The latest release of MMS 2025 Suite is 24.0.1.219. As a matter of interest, with reference to this error message, what happens if you follow the advice and close MEP/MMS and then Retry?
With reference to the error message about Elements.ofx, I believe this concerns New Blue Elements plugin. Do you see this message when trying to use the plugin or is it appearing seemingly randomly? Have you registered and fully activated NB Elements, usually via the New Blue Application Manager?
One final question: can you tell us what you were doing at the time the Elements error message appeared, or does the program completely fail to open and thus produce the error message? Have you followed the advice given on that screen and tried to reopen the program, which should then have produced an error report which you can send direct to Magix?
According to the confirmation email from Magix, I bought the MAGIX Movie Studio 2025 Suite on November 8th of this year. I did this directly from the Magix website, so if it's a discontinued program, Magix sold it to me. According to the screen shot that is mostly gray, it's Magix Movie Studio 2025 Suite, Version 24.0.1.199 (UDP3) UG code 8485 KA1. The screen shot showing this was taken after I installed the update the program told me was available. Getting the "Help" function to work so I could get that information took several attempts. It appears the program freezes as soon as it's running.
I have tried several times to open the program. It will open to the extent that it appears to be ready to go, and then I get the pop-up with the error code (above). I have twice sent what appears to me to be the same error report to Magix.
I'm going to have to be vague about the New Blue element; I simply don't know. The data I'm supplying comes from attempting to open the Magix software. I haven't knowingly tried to do anything else.
If the New Blue effect is the source of the error, what do I do to correct it?
Your Movie Studio is the current major version, ie v24, however you are missing 2 patches, 24.0.1.216 and 24.0.1.219.
From the additional information, what is your computer specification, including Windows version and Antivirus program installed, see this topic for more details of what is required and please quote processor and graphics card(s) make/model(s) in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) you are working with if this is a laptop.
I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it. See my Signature for an example.
Are the graphics card/integrated GPU drivers up to date?
A screenshot of the Program settings, Device options tab would help.
Assuming there is no typo, ie you do not mean a GTX 1650, then this could be the cause of the problem.
The GTX 650 is not supported by Movie Studio, however the program maybe trying to use it.
Download and install the latest Intel UHD 630, the integrated GPU in the processor, graphics drivers from here and install them.
If that fixes the NB Elements issue and MMS starts, go into the Program setting, Device options tab and set the Import, Processing and Export options to the Intel UHD 630 if they are set to the GTX 650.
If you cannot set the options above to the UHD 630, or the program still errors on the NB Elements, then more drastic action may be needed - ie the removal of the GTX 650 graphics card from the PC so it defaults to the Intel graphics which MMS can use, the GTX 650 is doing nothing for MMS and is, IMHO, redundant if no other programs depend on it. PC has the UHD 630 iGPU and MMS works fine with it.
Note: removing the GTX 650 is at your own risk, you may want to get a computer technician to do this, especially if the Intel iGPU is disabled in the BIOS, and in case of issues caused by the removal.
GeForce GTX 650 is the correct card (screen shot below). I suppose I'll be taking my computer to the repair place that until the last time I was there was the best I'd ever found. The last time I was there, they fixed so many problems I have trouble getting the computer to work at all.
