I am using Magix rescue your video tape software for the first time. I cannot find how to start the program. I have no icon on my desktop and it is not showing on my program list eventhough I have successfully downloaded it. I am using Win 10Pro

Only thing I can think of is that you have downloaded the 'installation program' (a .exe program) which has to be run just once to do the actual installation which will create the necessary folders and sub folders, unpack resources and create the actual software. Most likely part of this process will be a prompt to see if you want a desktop icon.
The 'installation' .exe would most likely have been saved to your 'Download' folder while the actual program will end up in 'Program Files'. I don't have Rescue so I can't tell you the exact names.
