Hi

. . . . . MTS video  in media window  you can click on hear sound, but when dragged in to movie sound disappears ? . . . . type .MOV magix does not recognise wont import . . . . WINDOWS 10 . . . .

You have three problems working against you here :

  1. Photostory on CD/DVD 8 does not support importing MTS files (AVCHD), this came in with version 10
  2. MOV files require Quicktime to be installed, however there is a big security issue with QT and it is no longer supported for Windows by Apple so the issue is not going to be fixed.

  3. Photostory on CD/DVD 8 is not compatible with Windows 10.

I would suggest you upgrade to the latest version of Photostory or upgrade to Movie Edit Pro Plus - this is more versatile with more functionality, however it would entail some new learning though there are plenty of tutorials available on getting started eg John CB's in the Tutorial section of the forum - this is for an older version however it still applies to the latest versions.

If you do decide to get MEP, do not get the Basic version you could end up having to purchase the extras that come with the Plus and Premium versions.
