Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.
First can you not post images with your activation codes showing as other people viewing my be able to activate and steal a copy of the program by downloading a demo copy and using the P3 code to activate it. You should be able to edit your post and remove them.
Second you need to download a copy of QuickTime for Windows onto your computer to use mov. files as mov is a propitiatory wrapper originally used by Apple and not Microsoft.

If the mov files are from a newer camera or phone or a third party app, the possibility is that the mov wrapper cannot be read on a Windows computer. Apple do not want other operating systems to access their proprietor produced files. It has always been thus. The only other option is to convert the mov files using a free utility.
I think @AAProds has some good suggestions for these types of programs so have copied him in to try to grab his attention. Personally I try to steer clear of using mov wherever possible.

Hi, can you click your icon at the top of this page - My Profile & fill in your Signature with the full name of your CPU, GPU & amount of RAM, also inc the Windows & Magix version, this will then show at the bottom of your comments,
Also there's an App called MediaInfo, download it, it's free & a fast download with no added adverts or any of that rubbish. https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo
After downloading, right click on the media file in your Windows folder, open MediaInfo, choose Text from the options at the top, Copy & paste the information in a new comment on here 👍

Although .mov files load onto my version of Magix Movie Studio 2024 (MMS) they don't always play well, I now don't use .mov in MMS.
If you wanted to you could share one of your files, I'll try it out on my machine & I'm sure others would too.

1. Open Google, top right is a sq of dots - Open Google Drive.
2. Drag that video onto the Google Drive window, let it upload.
3. Right click on the file on screen - Share.
4. A window will pop up, General Access - choose anyone with the link - Copy link.
5. Then on here in a new comment at the top there's a chain button, paste the link on there
6. Click Comment

Hi.
@johnebaker in the past has posted the mov types of files MMS can't open. I think from what I can remember the QuickTime app only allows two types of mov files to be opened. Certainly it can't cope with some of the mov files Boris Effects Particle illusion can produce or some of the newer 10 bit files.
PSD files are not web friendly 🤣.

Thanks for the GPU model, that is what I was suspecting you had.
If you have the latest drivers install for this then a security patch in the driver disabled some functionality in the DirectX 12 support.
If so then you need to roll back the driver to an earlier version - see this Intel article.

Please change the hardware acceleration to CPU in the associated options.
Then test importing your files again.
Your hardware doesn't even have the minimum requirements that Magix requires since versions from 2022.

This error message usually means the system manufacturer has blocked driver installation that does not come from the manufacturer - this mainly occurs with laptop systems, however can also occur with some PC manufacturers.
While it may be possible to force installation, I would strongly advise against trying this as the systems manufacturers often customise their drivers to work with their GPU configurations.
I agree with @Marc-Goder recommendation to change the Device options settings.

I'm honestly fed up with Movie Studio by Magix. Who was bothered by VEGAS?
It's the nature of the beast of video editing. Within any three year period minimum spec requirements for any video editing software jumps quite a bit. The current Vegas minimum requirements are the same as just about every other video editor out there including the Magix offering.
Intel HD 620 is pretty much minimum spec for any type of hardware acceleration now if you don't want to be limited to CPU use only.
Look up other video editor specs for yourself.
I find myself having to upgrade bits of my build every couple of years or so to be able to continue video, audio, or photo editing. Even now I'm two programs behind MMS 2024 so my machine can cope. Hopefully a new graphics card may enable me to update the program soon. Even then I will be getting a 3000 series card as I think if I got a 4000 series I would have to upgrade my power supply as well. It can be tough to upgrade and personally I can't justify getting the latest hardware just to keep up with program requirements hence I am not running the current software at present.

When the program throws and error message like that, I doubt it is a hardware issue. I was able open and work on HEVC MOVs from an iphone 11 on my old i5. it wasn't a pleasant experience, but I could open them.
This issue will be a fundamental software/driver issue.
Try changing the container from MOV to MP4 using AVIDemux as per my guide. It will be a smart-render so it will be quick with no re-encoding.

So far, I have tried to upload a mov file and there was an error. The same error and the closing of the program occurs after uploading the mp4. If the program loads the video files, there is still an error, e.g. with transitions.

The only other thing I can think of is if you didn't update to the last patch available for Windows 10 home.
To check, go to (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update) and select Check for updates.

IMHO you are caught between a rock and a hard place on this one ie trying to run modern demanding software and demanding video codec, on technology that has compatability issues with the software more specifically:
- The hardware is too old to support the necessary DirectX12 technology required by MMS 2024.
- The HD4600 driver cannot be updated, downgraded, to a version that allows some Direct X 11 capability which MMS 2024 could partially use.
- HEVC video is very demanding on CPU/GPU for decoding/encoding, in the case of the i5-4200H, the CPU is likely to suffer from some thermal throttling, to avoid overheating and the HD4600 iGPU cannot be used at all, it does not support HEVC decoding/encoding.
- The source video is Variable Frame Rate which also increases the processing deman.
With this hardware the only option which will work, is to convert the iPhone video to h.264/AVC video encoding, and AAC encoded audio and Constant Frame Rate, this can be done with AviDemux.
