Problems Re-Activating Vegas Movie Studio Platinum

Recent computer crash required me to reinstall Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 11. (Could not use 14 because there is some compatibility problem with High Contrast mode which I have to run.) Got vmp11 to install but program kept stating that my serial number was not valid. This site shows that i have registered the boxed program I purchased online which I registered in Feb of this year. When I went to generate a new activation serial # it asked for a ComputerID. After a long time searching I finally figured out that the CID was something that the program may have displayed but I didn't see it. Is there any way of either finidn where this CID is located on my computer or somehow generating it again or even having the old activation code reactivated without it? I paid good money for the program and it worked fine. I don't have the money to buy 14 (even fi it were to work in High Contrast Mode) when I know some technician only has to flip a switch to get my program to work or simply issue me a new serial number to get it back up and running again. Any help would truly be appreciated. Eric "Rick" Avant. By the way, I am presently running the latest version of Windows 10.
