I am trying Magix photo manager deluxe on a trial before I buy. Downloaded today.
. I am having difficulty importing photos from my desktop HDD. My OS in Win10
The photos I want to import are jpegs. Magic doesn't seem to recognize my photos.
What am I doing wrong.

Welcome to the Magix forums.
It might be helpful if you had told us exactly how you were attempting to import your photos to create the Photo Manager database but, did you try pressing the Import button, top left of the screen, choosing the "Folder" option and then allowing PM to import those photos? See the screenshot below:
