Problem with midi files when setting instruments against them from Vita or independence.

I have a piece of music I scored in M*score and exported to a midi file with each orchestral part as a seperate track.

The reason for this is when i import into MM MX PS everthing is bunched up together. I tried the manual from one of the postees here and was unable to do this successfully.

However when I bring in 3 bars or the score and add a an independence or vita instrument to the track everything plays ok until i get lets say a long note and instead of playing 4 secs it only plays 1-2 and goes silent. ie it doesnt play the full length of the note.

Now i have gone through the manual for independence and it doesnt match this software so i found it on the midi editor.

now when i go though here i see a wave file of about 3 secs.

Problem is this error is repeated on some of the tracks nut not on others especially is there are 2 flutes etc....

Any ideas why this would happen.

My orchestration sounds pretty dire with stops and starts etc.......

Do I need to put the 2 flutes under one track from M*score an import that way??

I will give this as a try seeing i have just thought of this.

Dell XPS 8100

6gb ram

1tb hd

sound card (not sure of the make but realtek is the driver HD audio)

Quad core i7 chip 2.58 ghz

Win 7 SP 1

Music Maker Production Suite 2011

I am not using external midi keyboard at present as just getting used to this piece of software.  i do have the necessary connects (ie USB connector to 5 pin and midi compatilble basic synth)

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Ok i tested midi with 2 partes made it even worse.

I seem have narrowed down what in VITA is causing the problem.

Under filter the S channel seems to determin how long the note duration is. when i moved this down to the bottom of the slid it clipped the note even shorter.

How do I make the sound last longer.

Via midi it plays the file in full.

Here is a screen shot of the midi editor (note I have hidden first few bars for protection of work.

The red circle is where the vita sound cuts off.

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance.

Ok I have been doing a bit of testing and it seems that note lenghts are determined by the program itself.  In real life a flautist would not stop nor start a note they would use continous breathing effect. why have they programmed in such short note lenghts????

This error is now fixed with this posting.  The piccolo plays the note full length to the end.

why doesnt VITA annd any of the other synths appear in the independence as a plug in??
