Problem purchasing Activation code for AVCIntra encoder upgrade

Like many others before me I am unable to enter a Computer ID that is acceptable in the order summary form. My OS is Win 10 that was upgraded from Win7. My system information has "my name" as the computer ID which Magix does not accept. How do I find the number that Magix will accept as my ComputerID? Thanks in advance.

Problem solved. From Magix support "Thank you for your message.

You will find your computer ID in the encoder activation dialogue if you choose the option - post/fax. "

  1. Which version number are you referring to?
     
  2. Was the program installed and working OK before the Windows 10 upgrade?

That is not the Computer ID the program is looking for. Normally you would not see the computer id when you activate the product on-line - this is a unique number/code generated by the software on installation and if the program was installed before the Windows 10 upgrade it is likely that the upgrade had altered the generated computer id.

You would only see the Computer Id if at installation you elected to register by post or email

In this case and that of 2 above you need to re-install the program using this procedure. You may also need to login to your account at magix.com and deactivate VPX under your My Products option before re-installing.

Hi John, That problem is solved I have the encoder installed, now I have a new problem, sound quality. I have garbled sound from .mxf files. I installed the AVCIntra encoder which allowed me to load .mxf files from my Sony PXW-X70 using XAVC-L 50 format. However the sound is garbled. The sound is clean if I load the same files in Vegas Pro or if I convert the files to Prores and then load in to Video Pro X, so I know it is not the recording. It sounds like a codec issue. I have latest version of VPX 15.0.03.130. Thanks again for your responce.
