Problem loading titles Photostory Deluxe 2018

Peter-Bassett wrote on 8/29/2018, 3:41 AM

Version 18.1.1.28 (UDP3).

I've been able to enter captions onto pictures, and I can enter a title caption, but I'm unable to work out how to enter blank titles that I can add text to between pictures, and also after the opening title, where it seems there can be only one title. I've read forum questions and watched several videos.I've used MS Movie Maker and it was very easy there to do this (amongst its problems).

I'm doing a travel sideshow and wish to add a many title pages for pictures to be highlighted by town or feature.

@Peter-Bassett

Hi

. . . . I'm unable to work out how to enter blank titles that I can add text to between pictures . . .

Assuming you want to create just the title, ie not have a background image of some sort, then create a gap between the images where you want the title to go - see the image below - and set the transition options to what you desire.

Hi

I guess you are fairly new to the program - there is a PDF manual available under Help which is more useful than the Help system.

See the video below on how to create a gap

Don't forget to switch the Mouse mode back to Single object when done !

Thanks John, the video was very helpful and I've been able to make 3 titles where I want them. I'm still hit and miss doing it so I'll study the video and write down the steps. It all gets very messy quickly so I have to do it carefully. . The Help and PDF were useless to me.

If I'd realised that this program was so technical, and way more than I need, I wouldn't have bought it. I had a look at the trial version but obviously not close enough. Thanks again.

Dear forum, I would like to run a long text, copied from a documens slowly over a presentation, by copying the (plain) text in and animating it over the running time of the presentation from bottom to top, does anyone have the answer of how to do that?

I do not seem to be able to widen the field, in which the whole imported text is visible...

I'm working with Photostory Deluxe 2020 and struggling to add a simple "title" page/image/whatever you may call it to lead into a series of photos. Since the date of this article, referring to Photostory 2018, has Magix added a simple method to accomplish this simple task? I used to be able to do that years ago with the Photostroy product.

@Stephen-Evans

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The process is still exactly as shown in the video in @johnebaker's reply here. Nothing has changed regarding this between PS 2018 and PS 2020 or, indeed, PS 2022.
