Preview starts at beginning instead of at orange marker (MEP 16)

I want to make a video edit, then move the orange marker to the spot I changed, press play, and watch the portion I just edited. But instead when I press play it jumps back to beginning of the video. What am I missing since this seems like it should be a pretty rudimentary function?

Hi Some Dude,

it is most likely that your project has been damaged due to unknown reasons. This problem can be easily solved: Simply click on the "FIT"-button which can be found at the lower right part of the program window (button symbol: two arrows that lead away from one another). Now the playback and the orange marker should work fine again.

Okay, yep that fixed it. WOW hours of being pissed off and I knew it would end up being fixed with the push of one button. Thanks!
