I just recently purchased Music Maker 14 and would like to control the software synths with a keyboard controller to record into Music Maker or use it as a sound module. Is this possible and if so how?
Music Maker does support MIDI input. So, if you have a proper MIDI keyboard, connect it to your system, make sure the drivers are installed and the keyboard is properly supported in your system and start up Music Maker. In the program settings under "Audio/MIDI", you can pick the MIDI input device. Make sure that your MIDI driver is listed in the drop-down list and is selected. Now, create a new MIDI object (e.g. with one of the sounds from the Vita synth) and go into the MIDI Editor. You will be able to play (and record) the selected software instrument through your MIDI keyboard now.
