Playback Bar Vanished

Hi,

I've been using Magix video pro for a while. My playback bar has broken, the line is there but when I press play it does not move along with the video. Anyone know what might have caused this?

I have the latest update. The only thing I did differently was create proxy files for a large number of videos. I've done this before and there was no issue but this time the playback bar has gone, even if I go into earlier videos where it was working before.

Update: Just wanted to add abit more. I've now noticed that the same thing is happening on my movie edit pro software too. Not only that but the playback on the consumer software is choppy. This was never the case before. It seems to be a sudden change. Could having too many files on my PC be causing the issue? It is getting full but still 800GB of storage left.

Thanks. Not sure what the issue was but I have now fixed it. Here are the steps I took:

Restarted software- Nothing happened

Restarted computer - Nothing happened

Reinstalled software- Nothing happened

Reset to defaults- Nothing happened

Deleted 700GB of data from my PC- Nothing happened

Restarted computer again - Playback bar appeared on both Movie edit pro and video pro.

Any ideas what the issue might have been based on the above?

Restarting may have allowed a Windows update to install or complete it's install. Check Windows Update History to see if something occurred in the last few days, especially a graphics driver update.

Also a fragmented C:\ drive can sometimes cause issues.

Are you on Win10? Your symptoms sound similar to quite a few others reported recently.

Thanks. Yes I am on Windows 10.

I will check my history and let you know if the software was updated.
