Photostory on CD & DVD 6

I've used this program for years and I had to update to a Windows 7 computer. The program works but won't let me burn a dvd, says it doesn't recognize a dvd burner. I did re-register but it still won't work. It also doesn't have the extra transitions and menu layouts that I had purchased back then. I need this to work the way it was on Windows Vista.

Hi

The issue is with the burn routines which donot recognise a more modern DVD burner - you can try installing the Windows 8 burn routines from here to see if this works.

If they do not then you would have to update the program to a later version of Photostory which is supported on Windows 7 - eg from Ebay - due be careful not to purchase a used version as it may not be registerable - ideally you need an unused sealed boxed version.

The current version is not supported on Windows 7.

Not sure if you're still doing this John, but I'm needing help again. I have the Magix Photostory on CD & DVD 6 yet, it's such a user friendly one! When I start a new project, I click on the Photos button which brings up all my folders with pictures. When I double click on the folder I want to add pictures from, I get a message that says "A memory request has failed. It is possible that there is no more free memory or an internal error has occured." When I click ok, it comes up again and will load one picture, then it repeats itself. If I have 30 pictures that I want to add to the program, I have to click the ok on the message each time. Is there a fix for this or is the program just too old? I have Windows 7 with 64 bit operating system and 8 GB memory.
