Hi,

Having problems with completed projects. When I've completed a project and burnt it to disk it is ,not saving, the finished project.DVD, burns, OK but then program wont ,clos,e. When I force the close and re-load the entire, project, has gone. I've managed  to relocate the last saved working copy under all files but the completed, burnt project looses  all the work except the title under last opened project.

Any one able to help?

Hi

It is important to save at regular intervals as you are working through a project and should always save before starting the burn process.  That way if anything goes wrong in the burn process, which can happen,  you still have the saved project to re-open.

When the burn process completes - how long do you wait before forcing the program to close?

John.

Hi John,

Always do save at regular intervals and also save immediatly before starting to burn the DVD.

Usally wait for some 5-10 mins before trying to close program after burning. Program justdoes't do anything, last night left it on over night after asking to close to see if it needed to do some internal backing up, after 6 hours it hadn't moved so force closed the program, would only respond through windows task manager.

When you launch the program again the title of the program come up but only the name no allocated pictures, music or titles. I found the last saved version prior to burning by clicking on load project on the welcolm screen then on the next screen clicking the projects and slideshow drop down arrow and highlighting all files.

If the save is working OK then when you re-open the project everything should be there - the two statements above are contradictory - force closing the program should not deleted the saved projects contents.

Unless you are you using external hard drives, USB memory sticks or loading the video / images direct from a camera or memory cards in which case you should be getting messages when reloading the project that files cannot be located?

John
