Photo Manager does not detect my AVCHD files with .mts extension

Hi,

I have Photo Manager MX Deluxe and just upgraded to Photo Manager 12 Deluxe. Neither program detected my AVCHD files with the .mts extension. These are the native files from my Canon HFR21 video camera. MEP finds them and reads them ok. I sent the question to Magix and they indicated that my .mts file showed up as a .tts file in their Windows Explorer and when they changed the extension to .mts, the file showed up. I tried changing the filename with Windows Explorer to .tts, then back to .mts with no success. I changed it to .avi and the file showed up in Photo Manager. When I changed it back (after closing Photo Manager) to .mts and reopened Photo Manager, the file no longer showed up.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solution?

NEW REPLY FROM MAGIX

They indicated that Photo Manager does not support the file format and would pass the message on to their programmers. Hopefully they will add it.

Thanks,

John
