What hardware cards for the computer do you recommend which work with your software?

Need to convert old format video tape to digital. Don't be alarmed it is just a couple of family genealogy home movies.

First this is a user forum not Magix support.

To answer your question - how are you going to playback the video tapes, what video and audio outputs does the playback device have.

Did you get a USB video converter with the software. See here for examples.

Also read the manual about importing from tape - you should find a pdf manual in the programs installation folder or even a link to it in the Programs menu..
