Hi

By default the bottom of a web page will only extend as far as the available content unless specified in CSS formatting.

IIRC (no longer have Web Designer installed) you can only drag the bottom so far below the last content entry before you must add more content.

The bottom of the page should automatically move as you add content avoiding the necessity to drag the bottom down.

It is not good practice to have a large empty area at the bottom of a web page. Eg any footer you have should be a couple of blank lines after the last of the content - this avoids having unnecessary scrolling to get to the footer content if you have some.

Thanks johnebaker, I discovered that somehow the page background layers had been replaced by photo shapes instead of rectangles, making them unchangeble in size. I deleted these photos by unlocking the layer and they were automatically replaced by a changeable rectangle which then stretched in the normal way. Not sure how this came about ??
