opening .dip & .mvm files from earlier versions of photostory

When i attempt to open old files i get onle one text slide and no actual photos from my work. How do i open old photostory files

i am using Photostory 8 and i think the old version was photostory 4

I think all the photos and everything of those projects would have to be in the exact location they were when the projects were created... if the newer PhotoStory can open older projects at all.

It might be the case that it cannot, since some programs were written for operating systems of their time, the newer OS and changes to them might have rendered old projects as non compliant to their newer released.

You might unfortunately need to recreate the projects.
