open edit control

when I press "Edit button control" located between "record & burn " in order to apply effects, nothing happens.... cannot apply any effects....

Can you possibly be a little more clear about the problem? I might understand what you're doing, but I have to be sure it's really that.

Exactly what version of Movie Edit Pro are you using? What is the button you're pressing? Are you referring to the main "Edit" tab at the top of the screen? If so, what happens when you press it? Does the program just not switch from the initial importing/recording stage into the editing mode? Does the program even freeze or crash? Thanks in advance for further clarifying this.
