Online Album

Set up an album, no problem. Invite people to view it using the online invitation box saving email address and password which is then forwarded to the guest user. Doesn't work, logs in but that's it, no albums, no pictures. What the hell am I paying for, the whole idea was so my family and family only could view our family photos. I also notice when logged in as myself a box in the menu bar indicates several hundred people have viewed my private online album, how can that be or am I misunderstanding the menu indicator?

The login box for your site pops up OK and refuses non valid email / password combinations as it should.

Do you have any symbols or spaces in the password for the site - if so try removing them and use upper, lower case and numbers only in the password, unless you are told otherwise when creating the password.

Also be aware that there may be a password length restriction and if your password length is too long it may cause issues.

Can you login as one of the recipients using their email address and password?

I suspect that is because they are landing on the albums home page which is being counted.

And every time that you go to your album, that is counted. If you upload a photo or video in the manager and then click on the button to view the result, that is counted.

Make sure that you have checked the box for each user to view the album/video/photos. Giving access to the album is only part of the equation.

Can't be much simpler can it.

1. Click on invite

2. Add or choose an existing contact.

3. Tick box next to contacts email address

4. Click Invite

Message box pops up on screen 'The Invite email was successfully dispatched'.

5. Click OK

The guest receives an email which includes their email address and the password to be used plus a link to the online site.

7. Guest clicks on link which brings up the originals users web page.

8. Guest clicks on Login or Go to Albums.

9. Box pops up with two options just to confuse everyone. Login as Guest or User.

Click on Guest and enter password just brings up 'Invalid login info'.

Click on User, invited guest enters his or her email address and password as forwarded to then.

10. Invited guest manages to login in but see absolutely nothing no matter what he or she clicks on.

Simple password used in every case, no odd symbols, no spaces.

Have you been able to login as one of the invited people ?

Have you followed FAQ no 6 in this Online Album faq ? This is what John CB is referring to.
