Hi,

I think this could be a result of Latency. If you will check your Magix settings you will find if it is set to ASIO Driver or not. I used to use MMM 16 but now I got MMM 16 Premium, I am sure some functions are same therefore, when MMM 16 is opened press KEY "Y" program settings window will be opened. On the top click Audio/Midi tab and on left down side look if ASIO driver is checked or not

If you need ASIO driver you can download from www.asio4all.com Latest released in various languages.

12 June 2010: Version 2.10 released, Combined 32/64 bit version, supports Win 98SE/ME/2k/XP/MCE/2003/XP64 and Vista/Windows 7 x86/x64.

Note before you download driver, make sure if you really need it or not.

Thank you

Hi:

I've just bought the MMM16 this week, so i'm new at this too.

I've been recording some bass lines to PC and i have a very small latency problem, so small that is very easy to put all in the right place, i think this latency is normal and there is no way to avoid it, but when i read your answer to prophet89 i've tried what you just said, and then i saw that my original configuration was in "Direct Sound" so i put it in "Asio Driver" and selected the driver that i have that is "Tone Port UX1". After that the latency become much worst.

Do you think that is normal, or the normal would be getting better with asio driver? Any way i put all in the original configuration and i keep playing conected to tone port and everything seems to function just perfect.

Thanks

Emacor

Reply to Emacor,

When we usually talk about synchronizing, vocal or beat don't match usually there is a chance of Latency as I said earlier, but other than that it also depends how vocals are recorded, direct mic is connected with computer or using audio interface, in case of interface that need setup too.

To avoid any kind of further problems therefore, I had said

"Note before you download driver, make sure if you really need it or not. "

It is wise to check all settings and use what is better to your system. In your case it seems you should check other settings.

Thank you
