Objects saved to project folder doesn't retain its size

sams_e wrote on 1/24/2024, 2:09 PM

I'm not new to MagiX Pro but when I recently purchased a new desktop computer is when I noticed the trouble with any new objects I created whether it be a text object or photo etc. Once I get it how I want it I save it to the project folder for future use.

When I drag the object from the project folder back to the timeline the length is reduced significantly. Example: I may have saved it at 6" when I drag it back to the time line it's like 1/8". Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

I tried to copy the object from the timeliness and paste it where I need the object to appear again but it won't paste????

Hi

I have removed a load of unnecessary information from the compter specification.

I would suggest you copy and paste the above spec into your Profile signature for future reference.

As stated in your previous post the issue is a bug and I see you have already raised a support ticket for this.

. . . . I may have saved it at 6" when I drag it back to the time line it's like 1/8" . . . .

Units of measurement in the video editor are mins, seconds, frames - we know what you mean though, as has been described in your previous post ie the length of the video added to the Project folder, as a Take, can be any length, however when the Take is dragged to the timeline from the project folder it is 1 sec long.

Yes this seem to be the same error.

What I don't understand is the items in the project folder that I copied over from my old computer is the correct size when I drag them to the timeline any objects created within my new computer on the timeline and saved to the project folder are about 1 second I have to stretch it back out

Has there been a patch for this bug yet? I've been waiting.

This bug has been outstanding for a number of versions, but I believe it has been addressed/fixed in VPX17? Can someone confirm?

I'm currently using VPX16 (22.0.1.270) and I definitely had the 1 second bug when I first installed VPX16 last year as @browj2 outlined in his video. But due to a question regarding Takes recently, I retested this bug. Surprisingly I no longer experienced the 1 second bug but the Take created and placed in the Project Folder could not be further trimmed in the Source Monitor. Are others using VPX 16 (22.0.2.270) experiencing the same phenomena?

Please watch @browj2 video above, then watch the following video.
