Nusic Maker MX install problems

Hello,

I apologize for the language in my previous question. I will try and rephrase it so it's better understood.

I recently purchased athe software "Music Maker MX Version 18" from a local retailer. When arriving home, I noticed the installation uses a DVD instead of a CD / DVD RW, which is what I have. The software will not load for that reason. (I believe) My computer has one terabyte of hard drive space with over 600 GB's available. It is an older version of Windows XP but I'm pretty sure it's the latest version. My system seems to meet all the requirements for this software. Is there a way I can download it or an option to load the software in other ways. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

~Lowell

I will try to guide you and share what I know. If that works good if not sorry ok. I am not a technical support just a user.

First of all I do not think you can return your software from where you had purchased but why not try. It is also not possible to get download link unless you buy. So what options do you got?

If in your computer DVD can not work then ask your friends if any one got computer with DVD Rom or go to internet cafe and find out.

When you found a computer with DVD Rom, you will be needing an external hard drive or a flash drive which could keep all the data from "Music Maker MX Version 18 DVD. It could be of 8 GB or less. After finding computer with DVD Rom insert Magix DVD in to the computer DVD Rom and do not play just exit the window if open. Then go to My computer and right click on DVD Icon then from menu choose open. If you are lucky you will see the entire contents otherwise the DVD might got copy protection.

OK if you found the contents such as folders and installation exe file. You will have to copy exactly in to the external hard drive or flash drive. If you can do that after copying. Go home connect the external hard drive or flash drive and open the desired folder then click on Installation exe file it will start installation.

Hope this answer might help you.

Sorry, this isn't an answer, but we have had the same problem.  Did either of your answers above work?
