Number of cores for Samplitude Music Studio 2013

Does anyone know if the new Samplitude Music Studio 2013 software uses more than 2 CPU cores? I'm about to upgrade my computer and I would like to know if brings advantage to have, say, an i7 with 4 cores.

No, you do not have to upgrade to i7 or even i5 unless you want to. i3 would work fine that is, unless, you download lots of stuff or place on your harddrive, programs that have the potential to run in the background, which you can control that. Also, as a safety precaution, never have MM open and running and be online at the same time. The potential for problems is very real.
