@James-Kidd

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

We need rather a lot more information from you if we are to have any chance of being able to help you!

First, please read this post and tell us all about your computer.

Then, please tell us exactly which version and build of Photostory you have, you can check under Help>About...

Then, please tell us about the format, size and resolution of the photos you are using.

And finally, please show us a screenshot of the Export screen so that we can see exactly which settings you are using.

@James-Kidd

Hi

In addition to @emmrecs comment.

What options is the Program Settings, Device options, Video mode option set to?

Which video format are you wanting to export to?

The image you have posted shows you are exporting to MPEG-2 format with a .mpg file extension, in the comment you have mentioned MP4 format which has a different encoder and the .mp4 file extension.

Have the Intel HD4600 drivers been updated to the latest version? If so you need to revert them back to the previous version - see the Intel notes here - as Photostory 2022 can use, to a certain extent, the Intel integrated GPU (HD4600). The Nvidia GTX 285 is not supported by Photostory.

I Uninstalled and reinstalled. Version 21.0.1.74 works. When update to 21.0.1.96 it doesnt work.

I am a new user and just purchased and updated before use. very dissappointed in this product. will be seeking a return. I had to find out by trial and error what was going on with there product.

with the old version I can export to mp4 or mpeg-2 no problems. warning do not update photostory.

Can anyone confirm the new patch to .96 does not allow you to see any video in export?

No, I can't! I just set up a very simple slideshow and successfully exported it to default .mp4 and default .mpeg-2 without any problem! Export to .wmv did fail, but you are not trying that one, I think.

Can you please answer ALL the questions you have been previously asked by @johnebaker above? The matters he asks about are extremely relevant to any discussion like this one.

Thanks everyone for your help. I looked at my program settings and saw I only had GTX 285 as an option. I had to go to my bios and enable the Intel built in graphics processor and I then updated it to 15.40.42.5063. I now change the prgram settings to playback the video with the intel graphics and it works.

But what stumped me is photostory version 21.0.1.74 worked with out any problems. Why is the GTX 285 card no longer compatible with the newest version? Why is there no information about what graphic cards are compatible? That sure would have helped save me alot of frustration and time.

Thanks again for leading me in the right direction everyone.
