You definitely have to download and install the additonal content packages to have access to all the soundpools and instruments. All the audio content makes up several more gigabytes of data. As you may have noticed, the original installer file for the actual program was rather slim. It has the actual program and core functionality, but is definitely not big enough to accommodate all the audio content you get with Music Maker. So, you need to install the downloadable content packages. Make sure your program is up-to-date and any available patch for it is installed, too. After installing the audio content packages, you might have to use the import/add style function in the soundpool section of Music Maker to get the samples indexed in the soundpool database.
