Hi @John-H2024, I think you should contact support, I do not know if many users have a Contour Design Shuttle Pro 2/

Hi

I do have a Contour Shuttle, which 'jog wheel' ie the inner, continuous rotation dial, or the outer, bidirectional 'stepping' ring?

You should have a configuration tool, and manual, for the Shuttle installed, open the tool and check if there is an entry for Sound Forge.

If so select the SF option and check the configuration for is pointing to the correct location of the SF installation and the inner/outer jogwheels are sending the correct commands to SF to jog in the appropriate direction.

If there is no entry for SF you can create one - see the manual for the procedure.

Hi John EB,

I had the shuttle already configured and it works (ie. the cursor moves back and forth) and the audio is heard when using the outer wheel, but no sound is produced when using the jog inner wheel for small movements, although the cursor still moves.

I contacted Magix support and they confirmed there is no audio scrubbing in SF Pro 18, but they would put it forward as a feature request. They said Samplitude had that already, but I don't use Sound Forge for music, so I don't think that Samplitude is right for me.

If it's consolation, the 'J K L' keys can still be used to scrub.

What are the commands are being sent by the inner and outer wheels?

In answer to rraud, I know the JKL keys can be used, but not less than realtime speed. I want to use the jog wheel to advance "one frame" at a time and hear the audio as you would do in a video editing program.

In answer to John EB, the command to the outer wheel is Control + F16 (with different F numbers according to how far the outer wheel is turned). The inner jog command is the right arrow to advance and the left arrow to go back. As previously mentioned I have no problem with hearing the audio when the cursor moves using the outer wheel. With the inner wheel the cursor moves "one frame" but I can't hear the audio, as I would with a video edit.
