No audio when previewing Magix PhotoStory on DVD MX

I have added a music track to a slideshow using Magix PhotoStory on DVD MX, but can not hear it in preview.  I can export the slideshow and hear the music fine.  But nothing when previewing/editing.

I have tried MP3, WAV, M4A, ACC and all do not play in preview.  I even tried using the Wizard and created a soundtrack, but get nothing when I play the slideshow in preview.

I have tried this on a Dell desktop and Dell laptop, both using Windows 7. I also purchased the codec through Magix and still nothing.

Is there some configuration setting I am missing.  I like this software but not being able to hear the music while previewing or editng the slideshow may force me to look for some other software.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

Make sure your audio settings in PhotoStory are aligned with your system audio settings.

Hi

Check the program setting for the Audio - in particular

Audio playback  - driver - DirectSound is selected

Output device - the correct device is selected - especially if you have a HDMI output as well.
