no asio driver error after resuming Windows Vista from hibernation, no audio

Hi, My Windows Vista desktop will hibernate if there's no activity for an hour. When I come back to my computer and awaken it from hibernation or sleep, there is no audio from youtube, Samplitude, windows media player. Nor can the control panel TEST button make a sound. I've tried the windows Mr Fix it program to no avail. The error message when I open Samplitude after resuming from hibernation, states, no ASIO drivers. Is there a way to enable audio on my desktop without having to reboot?

Best option is to obviously turn off hibernation - especially if the computer is plugged in and powered up anyways.

Older versions of Windows shuts down audio drivers on older computers when it goes to sleep.

For machines that you always work with audio, just turn off all the hibernation and background processes - they are all crap anyways (worthless and redundant).
