Newbie here! Just want to record vocal tracks

Hello Magix People!

All I want to do right now is record vocal tracks, put harmonies together and be able to email or burn files on CD - that's it! It doesn't need to be perfect. I just want to hear my ideas and share with friends etc. It sounds so simple, yet that's not how it's goin'. Oh, I have Music Studio 12 Deluxe and:

1) My recorded voice sounds low and distant with a staticy background

I recorded a second track so far with the "playback" option - that worked OK.

2) Having trouble playing back all the tracks (harmonies) together so I can hear what they sound like. It has worked but I don't know what I did to get it to work again??

3) Once tracks are laid, how do I prepare the file for others to hear via email or burn to CD?

Please advise the simplest way to set up, record and prepare a proper music file for these vocal tracks...pretty please! Thanks
Tink

Sorry, I just have Music Maker 15, and I'm not much of an expert, but here is something you might want to try. First of all, what are you recording with? I use a USB microphone (it's actually for Rock Band, haha!) that plugs right in to my laptop. But I have to select it as the recording device with the software or else it will automatically record with my low quality web cam mic.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful because I don't know anything about Music Studio 12 Deluxe. But if it is similar to Music Maker, my advice is to make sure none of the vocal tracks are muted, make sure the harmonies are all being played at the same time, and make sure the volume is high enough. I hope that helps a little bit, and I hope you figure it out!
