Why is it cheaper for a new purchase of photostory 2021 than an upgrade from photostory 2019

hmmm not much of a bonus considering it is unwanted software you have to pay for. I think I'll simply make a new purchase.

Where do you see a different price.
I see the same price for New and for Upgrade in two different regions, UK and Canada, for two different currencies. However, as indicated, the Upgrade will get you Panoramic Studio, which is a good plus. Definitely go for the upgrade, not new.

if you follow links on the product page it quotes £27.49 choose the update option and it still quotes the same price until you click "Upgrade now" it then asks you yo login to your magix account and the price becomes £31.49. I know it is not a lot but was just curious as to why a new user would get a better price than existing customer

They are not - you would be getting the Panoramic Studio sotware, whether you want it or not, in the Upgrade a new user does not.
