Needs help with the installation of "Rescue your Videotapes"

I have installed RYVT 6 from the CD-ROM which was delievered to when I bought the programme.

When I connect the red/white Videowandler 2, I get a message that there is a problem with an usb-device.

In the controlpanel the usb-device is marked as "Unknovn device", and it does not help me that I update the driver.

I now have downloaded and installed the correct driver (red-white) from the Magix-site (I think), but with the same result.

I'm running Win XP sp3.

Can anyone help me with a solution of my problem?

Hi,

When you originally installed the product and the capture device, did you follow this process?

If not, shut down your system and with the device connected with the video player turned on reboot your computer to see if the software now recognizes your USB device and video player.

If not, uninstall the software using something like Revo Uninstaller (the free version will work just fine) and make sure that you remove ALL traces of the previous installation. Then re-install the software following the diagram shown above.
